What happens if I miss a class?
If you miss an in-person class, unfortunately, you won't be able to attend that specific session. However, as a benefit of our online classes, you'll receive a recording of each session within 24 hours. This way, you can still access the content and continue your mindfulness journey at your own pace.
What do I need to bring and wear to the first two classes?
For your first two mindfulness classes, you'll want to bring:
Comfortable clothing: Choose clothes that allow you to move freely and feel relaxed.
A yoga mat or blanket: This will provide a comfortable surface for your meditation practice.
A journal or notebook: To jot down any thoughts or insights that arise during the sessions.
For added comfort during your meditation practice, consider bringing pillows for under your head and knees. These can help support your body and reduce discomfort, allowing you to focus more fully on your mindfulness practice. Remember, the goal is to create a comfortable and supportive environment. If you find that you don't need the pillows, that's perfectly fine as well.
Why is this a 6 week course?
While a single session can provide a taste of mindfulness, the true benefits often come from consistent practice. Think of it like building muscle strength – it takes time and regular effort.
A course offers a structured approach to help you develop a regular mindfulness habit and explore various techniques.
What is Breathwork?
Breathwork is a technique that involves focusing on and controlling your breathing patterns. It can be used to reduce stress, improve relaxation, and enhance overall well-being.
Is there parking on site?
Yes please park at the clinic in the spaces next to the building.
What will I need for the four online classes?
Our online classes take place over Zoom, so you will need to download this onto a laptop or smartphone before the first online class. We also recommend earphones and, if possible, a quiet space where you will not be disturbed as this will allow you to get the most benefit from the online classes. Additionally, if you would like to take advantage of the accompanying Voxer group, which will give you access to a mini additional breathwork or meditation each week as well as coaching and an opportunity to ask any questions you have relating to the course, you will need to download the Voxer app to your smartphone.
