Clinical experience has shown that patients benefit from maintenance care.
A study conducted by Eklund et al. in 2018 concluded that ‘Maintenance Care was more effective than symptom-guided treatment in reducing the total number of days over 52 weeks with bothersome non-specific low back pain’.
The results of the study suggest that receiving treatment every 2 months reduces days with troublesome pain by 20 per year compared to those who only sought care after a flare up!
If you have chronic low back pain, don’t wait around for the pain to return. Prevention is always the way forward.
